วิธีแก้ถ้าเปิดดูภาพถ่ายบน 10.6 แล้วมึดเกินไป

จาก หน้า support บน apple.com ระบุเอาไว้เกี่ยวกับการที่ OS X 10.6 เปลี่ยนมาใช้ gamma 2.2 แทนของเดิม 1.8 แล้ว จะมีผลให้บางภาพที่ไม่มี color profile เมื่อเปิดออกมาจะดูมึดกว่าปรกติ

Some images that do not contain color profiles might appear darker in Mac OS X v10.6 than they did in earlier versions of Mac OS X. Adding the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile or Adobe RGB (1998) profile to these images lets them display correctly.

วิธีแก้คือให้ใส่ color profile เป็น Adobe RGB (1998) หรือ sRGB IEC61966-2.1 เพื่อให้ภาพกลับมาดูเป็นปรกติครับ

note :
1. เราใส่ color profile ให้กับภาพได้ด้วยโปรแกรม preview แล้วไปที่เมนู Tools/Assign Profiles ครับ
2. สำหรับคนที่ทำงานเกี่ยวกับกราฟฟิก หรือวิดีโอ อ่านรายละเอียดของ Gamma 2.2 คร่าว ๆ ได้จากใน url ที่ผมโพสไว้ในย่อหน้าแรกเพิ่มเติมนะครับ
