The mbp 13" is suitable for most common tasks that you do with your pc everyday already. If you don't have any specific needs like play ABC game or need to do some complex calculation, it will be fine.

no, there's no different except the keyboard, If you buy in Thailand there will be Thai alphabet on the buttons, but since you stay in US, if you need Thai alphabet, you may need to buy those Thai keyboard stickers and paste it on top of your US keys.
There are few of them in bkk, one at Siam Discovery and another one at Fortune IT Mall. if i'm not wrong there are different company but both are doing service for the Mac.
Yes, Apple warranty is worldwide warranty.
Sorry, I have no idea about how to buy it in USA. but there should be no different than others. You may consider to buy AppleCare together with your MacBook Pro as well, it will extend the 1 year warranty to 3 years in total.
If you stay there, buy in USA. If you travel more often btw USA-Thai and need thai keyboard -> buy it in Thailand.

I'm not sure about US, but I think it should be the same rule as bestbuy in Canada. there is no different btw US and Thailand krub, except you can exchange or refund it in 14 days after your purchase date like I did change my macbook pro from core2 to core i7 in the last day krub.

their refund policies should be the same worldwide. I couldn't find their policy regarding refund and get a newer model, but I wrote about Apple Store Thailand policies sometimes back.
If you buy a mac and then they have discount the price later, within 14 days you could ask for the refund based on the price different.

the policy that I was talking about is for Bestbuy and futureshop krub not for the apple store. what I did was I brought my MBP core2 duo to the store that I was purchasing and told them that I want to exchange to the new MBP that just came out couple days before, so they just bring a new mac for me krub. Also the new mbp was cheaper than the old one, so I got some money back also because in this policy I can refund or exchange with full price that I was purchasing krub. I think it should be the same policy in US too krub

This is the only thing that I love to buy the electronic stuff in here krub. In thailand I have to fight with the store even you have a problem in the first day, but in here I don't have to have any reason to exchange or refund it. What I have to do is just go to the store before 14 days and tell them that I just want to exchange it. they will never ask you for the reason to exchange krub.

my friend just got a total new iPhone 3G when he sent his old iPhone 3G for service, they replaced his phone with a new one, how nice ~
I'm going to send my iPhone for service soon and will see what they say (in a hope that they will give me a new one as well
)
